Can Mental Health Treatment Help Me?
Mental health counseling can benefit everyone. Many people may think that mental health treatment is only for people dealing with a mental health disorder or that going to therapy somehow indicates weakness. Everyone can gain something from their time during therapy. It’s a tool that serves to help people build self-awareness, coping skills, independence, and how to build healthy relationships, just to name a few examples. Mental health treatment can help you work through problems no matter what stage of life you’re in. Lightfully offers mental health treatment for adults and teens, including Residential Treatment, an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), and an Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) also known as our Day Treatment Program. We also offer a Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (vIOP) for adults. We believe that mental health treatment can improve everyone’s quality of life and hope our services can help as many people as possible.
How Long Does Mental Health Treatment Take?
There is no cut-and-dry answer to this question. It really depends on you! The length of time that a person goes through treatment can depend on various factors, including how well a person responds to treatment, their treatment goals and the level of mental health treatment they need. Some people may feel like they don’t need more than a few sessions, while others may use treatment for their whole lives. To better understand how long a treatment plan might take for you, you can speak with a licensed mental health professional who can help. They’ll speak with you in an effort to determine your unique circumstances and what may work best for your situation.
How Do I Schedule an Initial Appointment?
We’re so glad you’re interested in scheduling an appointment with us! To schedule your first appointment, it’s standard that you undergo an admissions process. You’ll first need to contact one of our admissions counselors by clicking this link or calling 916-943-7745. We’ll do our best to answer your questions and get some preliminary information about you. Then we’ll reach out to your insurance provider to determine if your treatment could be covered under your insurance plan. From there, you’ll speak with one of our clinicians, who’ll figure out how best we can help you and provide our clinical recommendations. After you’ve spoken to one of our clinical team members, the next step is to talk with our admissions counselor to set up the best date and time that works for you.
What If I Don’t Want to Talk About Something?
We’ll never force you to talk about something you don’t want to talk about. We believe personal growth happens when you’re out of your comfort zone. Mental health treatment will likely make you feel discomfort from time to time. However, we’ll never force you to talk about something if you do not wish to. Our team at Lightfully values creating a space where our clients can freely speak about their feelings and share their unique perspectives. That means we’ll do our best to make you feel like you can talk without the fear of judgment, but we won’t push you to do something you’re not OK with. For example, one part of our treatment program is family sessions. If having family present makes you feel less comfortable, we won’t force you to speak about things you don’t want to.
