4 mental health options available for Anthem Blue Cross members through Lightfully

Mental health struggles can affect anyone at some point in their lives. At Lightfully, we believe that everyone deserves compassionate and personalized treatment to meet their particular needs and concerns. That’s why we offer four options that can help everyone struggling with mental health issues: From mild symptoms to more severe symptoms, we have a level of care that can provide you with treatment to help.

The goal of our treatment programs is to help you develop life skills and healthy coping mechanisms that can help you manage your mental health disorder symptoms or distress. The skills and coping mechanisms that you learn can help benefit your mental well-being for the rest of your life.

As an Anthem Blue Cross member, you can benefit from all of our mental health treatment programs we offer at Lightfully. We are in-network as a mental health care provider for Anthem Blue Cross members. Each person is unique and deserves personalized care that is designed to help their particular needs and symptoms, not an approach that checks boxes on a checklist.

We offer the following four levels of care, and all four levels are available to Anthem Blue Cross members:

  • Residential Treatment Center (RTC) — These facilities provide clients with 24-hour residential care in a beautiful, supportive and relaxing home-based setting where they can fully focus on their treatment and mental health needs. Treatment in our RTCs includes three individual sessions with a primary therapist each week, family sessions each week, up to five daily group sessions with trained clinicians, and a weekly session with our staff psychiatrist. Each week, you’ll receive an individualized treatment plan for that week and have the chance to meet with your whole treatment team. Our RTCs are located in the San Diego, Los Angeles and Thousand Oaks areas.
  • Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) — Our PHP, also called our Day Treatment Program, provides you with supportive and structured care during the day, while you can go home and sleep in your own bed each night. This can provide you with similar treatment and services as our Residential Treatment, but you can also practice the new skills you learn when you go home each evening. Some of the things included in our PHP are two individual sessions with your primary therapist each week, family sessions each week, six to seven hours of daily programming, a session with our staff psychiatrist each week, an individualized treatment plan for the week, and meeting with your whole treatment team every other week.
  • Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) — Our IOP provides partial day treatment for our clients who are struggling with primary mental health psychiatric disorders. It includes a session with your primary therapist each week, three to six hours of programming daily, ongoing family therapy, weekly individualized treatment plans, group sessions daily, and a monthly meeting with your whole treatment team.
  • Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (vIOP) — We want to help broaden access to mental health care, and we’ve created our vIOP to offer a flexible treatment program. We believe mental health care treatment should be accessible to everyone no matter what their schedule looks like. A busy schedule shouldn’t mean you have to sacrifice getting mental health treatment, and our vIOP can help our clients receive quality treatment online that meets their needs and fits their schedules. Our vIOP can provide a careful balance of support and autonomy for clients transitioning from higher levels of care; or, for those who are new to therapy, it can be a welcoming and supportive environment. Our vIOP includes being in a small group of 10 clients or fewer with daily group sessions, a weekly individual session with your primary therapist, three to six hours of daily programming, ongoing family therapy, a weekly individualized treatment plan, and meeting with your whole treatment plan each month.

Lightfully uses process-based therapy to create personalized treatment plans that can help you improve your mental well-being

At Lightfully, we see you as a whole person, not just your symptoms or diagnosis. That’s why our unique clinical model of process-based therapy is at the heart of every level of our treatment programs to help treat the whole person.

To create a personalized approach to providing whole-person-centered care, we use process-based therapy (PBT) to treat mental health disorders. PBT uses the most effective components from evidence-based techniques in an integrated approach. Combining these components helps us address the four core processes that drive every mental health disorder:

  • Difficulty with emotions
  • Difficulty with thoughts
  • Difficulty with behaviors
  • Difficulty with relationships

We have pioneered the use of process-based therapy and are one of the only behavioral health clinical treatment providers to use it. It helps us provide our clients with the most personalized care.

Mental health care is available at all Lightfully Behavioral Health locations for Anthem Blue Cross members
