SAN DIEGO, CALIF. (JUNE 8, 2022)– Newly launched health care startup, Lightfully Behavioral Health, a rapidly growing mental health treatment provider based in Thousand Oaks, Calif., will open its newest facility in Encinitas, on June 15.  This is Lightfully’s second location in San Diego County and the first of three new facilities opening in the Encinitas area in 2022. In April, the company opened its first San Diego area mental health treatment center in Carlsbad.

Adults with primary mental health disorders including mood, anxiety, personality, and trauma-related disorders are the facility’s target audience. The new 5,005 square foot Encinitas center is located at 285 North El Camino Real, Suite 114 and will provide care for as many as 35 clients in its partial hospitalization program (PHP) and intensive outpatient program (IOP). Lightfully Behavioral Health will begin operations and start accepting patients June 15. Lightfully will hire approximately eight employees including a director of clinical operations, a program manager, multiple primary therapists, a group therapist, an LVN, and client care technicians.

The San Diego region currently lacks a variety of choices, as mental health services in the area are more focused on addiction and eating disorders. Lightfully Behavioral Health seeks to increase access to high-quality primary mental health care services through its ‘Process Based Therapy’ (PBT) clinical model, which addresses the whole person and their core challenges, and tracks results for measurable outcomes of individuals whose depression, anxiety, personality disorder, PTSD and other trauma-related disorders disrupt their daily life.

Lightfully’s research indicates that for clinically appropriate clients, virtual online intensive outpatient therapy (IOP) is as effective as in-person IOP. The leading indicator of therapeutic success is the relational alliance between the clinician and the patient, and Lightfully clinicians are specifically trained in delivering mental telehealth in group, family and individual settings. The therapy is secure and confidential and allows individuals to access care from their home.

“In addition to our six locations in Southern California, our virtual intensive outpatient treatment broadens access to care and provides flexible program options to accommodate clients with unique needs and schedules,” said Jennifer Steiner, CEO of Lightfully Behavioral Health. “At all treatment levels, clients benefit from our personalized, clarified approach to Process Based Therapy delivered by our highly trained, deeply committed clinical teams that stay with them throughout their time at Lightfully.”
